Thenji needs answers

accreditation

THE FACTS

Thenjiwe Jevu from Gugulethu, Cape Town said she and her late husband Solomon were both employed by Kapstadt International Properties as general workers for more than 30 years.  They both lived at Kenwood Court owned by the company. Solomon died in June this year and Thenjiwe was immediately told to retire because she was old and could no longer work.  She was also asked to move out of the flat which she had occupied with her husband for years.  She said she was promised R5 000 for eight months as a token of appreciation for her services, but has not received the money. She visited the SunDefender in Cape Town asking for help.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to Scorpion Legal Protection who promised to investigate.

SOLUTION

The manager advised that Thenjiwe was never employed by them but was living was with her husband. The manager said she had no knowledge of the R5 000 and she’s not in their payroll. Further feedback will be provided in due course.
