TEEN PREGNANCY ISN'T THE END OF THE WORLD

accreditation

Most young girls have high hopes and dreams for the future.

Unfortunately, many teenagers become pregnant and fail to finish school.

Teenage pregnancy is a concern because teen mums are also more likely to have complications in pregnancy.

While many of these pregnancies end in abortion or adoption, young mothers who do decide to keep their babies face many challenges associated with being a parent.

Teen parents often find that caring for a child makes it difficult for them to continue at school.

Lack of schooling makes it more difficult for teen mothers to find and keep good jobs.

Many unplanned teen pregnancies are the result of unprotected sex.

However, being a young mum doesn’t mean the end of your educational journey.

It should serve as an eye-opener and a motivating factor for the unfortunate young mum to work even harder to make ends meet and get a better education.

She must not solely depend on the baby’s father for financial support.

Grandparents are always there to help.

They often look after their grandchildren when the kid’s parents are at school or work.

Having a child at a young age is not the end of the road.

I urge all the young mums out there to go back to school and become good models for their own kids.
