POLICE Minister Nathi Nhleko and his beautiful girlfriend Dr Nomcebo Mthembu were all smiles at the Miss Indoni Cultural Festival on Saturday.
Mthembu, the organiser of the event, looked gorgeous in a traditionally-themed dress alongside her man at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban.
Love was in the air as the two were glued to each other.
Screams of excitement could be heard when they walked in.
During her speech, Nomcebo thanked the minister for supporting her.
“Thank you, baba, for being here and supporting me. It means a lot to me,” she said.
She also acknowledged other prominent guests, including President Jacob Zuma’s wife Sizakele Khumalo-Zuma, before making reference to Nhleko again by his clan name, Mgiliji.
When the SunTeam tried to call Nomcebo, her phone rang unanswered.
Her personal assistant said she was sleeping and refused to comment on her behalf.
Sunday Sun first broke the news of Nomcebo’s relationship with Nhleko in August after he reportedly dumped his wife, Nothando Nkomo (31).
At the time, Nkomo’s friend told the SunTeam she had been taken from her home to a rented flat in Empangeni.
She was quoted as saying: “We’re separated but I’m still married to Nathi.
“If he wants a second wife, the law requires him to get my approval.
“I don’t know about Nomcebo, I’ve only read about her in the newspaper.”
Police ministry spokesman Musa Zondi was previously quoted, confirming the relationship between the politician and Nomcebo.
