LIFE in Zimbabwe is tough, so this family moved to Mzansi to find a better life.

Machiri Kasese (41) and his wife Diana Maciterenje (33) sell clothes, beads and other items in Port Alfred.

The couple came to South Africa in 2007 with their four children.

They use the money they make from the stall to support their family.

Machiri told Daily Sun: “Selling clothes is not easy. It’s the type of business that requires patience.

“There are some days when we sell little.

“Still, life here is easier than in Zimbabwe.”

Diana said selling with her husband makes things a bit easier as they both know what they want to achieve.

“We cannot give up just because many people sell what we are selling.

“We trust in God that some customers will buy from us,” she said.

“On a tough day we only make about R40.”

That doesn’t discourage them.

Machiri and Diana have faith in their business.

They work hard every day to support their family.

“We know we are not going to have a slow business forever – we believe we are going to grow,” Machiri said.
