THE life of a Daily Sun reporter can be very, very hard.
Drinking Mama Irene’s muthi mageu can be quite a challenge, but I tried it – and I liked it!
AND AFTER 24 HOURS, I CAN REPORT, THE MEN-ONLY MUTHI WORKED FOR ME.
Mama Irene was happy to explain. She said it won’t help women unless their men drink it.
“This mageu is different to any you have ever tried,” she said.
“If your 4-5 is lazy when you need it, my mageu is for you!”
She told the SunTeam her mageu fixes all the problems men might have with their manhood.
“I have had men here crying they can’t satisfy their partners and there is no happiness in their homes,” she said.
“Men tell me their families are being destroyed due to lack of satisfaction in their bedrooms.”
Mama Irene said once men try her mageu, which costs R15 a cup, all their problems disappear.
She said she learned to make her mageu from her mother in Tsiumoni, Venda.
“My father always drank this mageu, which my mum prepared for him. And I am the youngest of 15 children!” she said proudly.
She said when she finally got married she also started preparing the same mageu for her husband as well.
“Today we’ve got five beautiful kids and we are happy,” she said.
When she came to Joburg she could not find work, so she started selling amageu.
“The demand grew and I started selling it seriously. Today I am helping many people to restore love in their relationships and that makes me happy.”
She said the main ingredients for her drink come from trees that are found only in Venda, such as mpesu, musunzi, munna muntsu and others.
“Once I have prepared amageu, I crush the plants and keep them in a warm place for at least three days.”
She said from there on the mageu would have a different but nice taste and perform its magic.
Daily Sun met one of her regular buyers when he arrived to buy another bottle to take home.
Thomas Mukwevho (44) told the SunTeam he is a happy man and his girlfriend has stopped complaining in the bedroom.
“For the past nine years I have been buying this mageu and I am a king at home,” he laughed.
Sicelo Dlamini (43) said he is a taxi driver and always tired.
“But one cup of Mama Irene’s mageu brings back all the action I need at home,” he said.
Madala Alfred Shiviti from Jabulani in Soweto walks around with a big smile.
“I am 78 and I am still a giant in bed. Thank you, Mama Irene!”
But more than that I cannot say. And the opinion of just one man does not mean anything.
The SunTeam asked Mama Irene Netsitandani (49) from Diepkloof in Soweto why the 20-litre drum of her mageu carries the warning: “Mageu for men only”.Mama Irene was happy to explain. She said it won’t help women unless their men drink it.
