During his speech, King Ramabulana said:
“We’ve come to experience your rich cultural expressions that
distinguish the Swazi people and make your kingdom one of the most distinguished
kingdoms, not only in
Africa but in the whole world.
Africa but in the whole world.
“I know and I’m sure we can learn from each other as we lead our
people with dignity and distinction.”
He said he was impressed by the Ubuntu that was shown to him by the
Swazi people.
“During my short visit, we’ve also experienced the hospitality and
respect of your people, which accurately represent ubuntu, a symbol of human
solidarity and triumph,” said King Ramabulana.
He said their behaviour was a symbol of what Africa stands for.
King Ramabulana also extended a brotherly invite to King Mswati to
visit the Venda Kingdom, which the other king accepted.
After the formalities were over, gospel singer Sipho “Big Fish”
Makhabane provided entertainment.
Revellers said Big Fish had the two kings dancing to his
tunes.
Big Fish said: “It was the first time I saw King Mswati and his
family dance. I
assumed that as kings, they just sit and
enjoy the music, but what happened in
Swaziland was more than awesome.”
