KEEP YOUR FARTS FRESH!

accreditation

THE sound of a fart  makes little boys burst into laughter but causes adults to blush.

But the smell that follows the sound is the worst part.

However, there is now some relief in the form of padded underwear that makes farts smell like mint.

According to Salim Ishmael, the owner of a shop in China Mall, Joburg, many people are buying the underwear.

He said customers can either buy a pad to put in their underwear or an undergarment fitted with the dressing.

“I haven’t tried it but many people have recommended it,” he said.

A woman said she bought the pads for R15.

“The biggest fear in a new relationship is farting in front of your lover. But with the mint pad, you don’t feel or smell anything,” she said.

Bongani Ntenje (24) said: “I want to try them on. I don’t know how it works but I salute whoever came up with the idea.”

Bongani said he will  head to the mall at the weekend to buy the pads and promised to get a pair for his girlfriend if they work.

Culture expert Refiloe wa gaKhunou said the underwear was unnatural.

He said: “Trying to stop a fart from smelling bad is ungodly.
