THE newly elected ANC Youth League leaders in Mpumalanga have taken a strong stance on education.

On Wednesday, provincial chairman Tim Mashele said all provincial executive committee and regional executive committee members must register with institutions of higher learning.

The five members chosen were Tim Mashele as chairman, Trevor Nkosi as deputy chairman, Pholoso Mbatsane as secretary, Sonto Mnguni-Malepeng deputy secretary and Sam Masango as treasurer.

“No member should lead young people without education. The emphasis is for members to register to study further.

“The skills revolution must start with us,” said Mashele.

Mbatsane said members were not going to be limited to certain qualifications.

“We want them to be diverse and register for whatever qualification they deem fit. This is to encourage the youth in the province to take education seriously.”
