Line Matsolo uses music to share his experiences with the world.

Popularly known as Ngaml’ Ekasi, the 35-year-old kwaito musician from Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, wants to be a voice for people living with albinism.

He is determined to change the world with his music and motivational talks.

The talks are held all around the country and deal with issues such as inequality and discrimination.

He told SunBuzz his music helps listeners understand what it’s like to live with albinism.

He recently released a single titled Jealous Down, which addresses the challenges faced by people living with the skin condition.

Ngaml’ Ekasi said people living with albinism deserve the same love and treatment as others because they are also human beings.

He said: “I want my music to reach as many communities as possible.

“I want to change people’s attitudes towards us.”

The kwaito musician said his goal is to make people living with albinism feel comfortable in their own skin, instead of being ashamed to go out in public.

Although most people know him as a musician, he also owns a fashion label called Eastrand Clothing.

“The label has a Facebook page called Eastrand Clothing Lifestyle.

“I sell the clothes door to door in my spare time,” he said.

Ngaml’ Ekasi’s journey in the music industry started not in the studio but on the dance floor.

Before he became a musician he was a professional dancer.

He draws inspiration from the likes of Brown Dash, Mdu and Trompies.
