American songstress Chante Moore landed in SA this morning to perform at the Divas Concert of this year’s Mangaung African Cultural Festival (Macufe).
The Grammy-nominated American singer, songwriter, actress and television personality is the latest edition to this indoor show featuring exclusively female artists.
Moore also shared that her new album Rise Of the Phoenix is out in America digitally. She said that the album is called Rise of the Phoenix because she feels like it’s time for a rebirth and a re-emergence in to the industry and to also be a better woman and better performer.
“I don’t try to stay relevant. I think it’s all about being yourself. If you are relevant then that is you and that’s great but I can’t think about being something that am not so I try to be authentic more so that being relevant… What’s most important is to be who you are and sing, perform and create from the heart” she says.
Also set to perform at this exclusive songstress occasion on 6 October are South Africans Amanda Black, Thandiswa Mazwai and Bloemfontein’s pride Nonkosi Sokoyi as well as Angelique Kidjo from Benin.
The Divas Concert will be staged at The Dome, Old Grey Sports Ground in Bloemfontein from 18:30 till 00h00. Entrance fee is R240.
