RADIO and TV presenter Rofhiwa Bologo, better known as Tholi B, is set to take over at Limpopo-based radio station Capricorn FM.
He has been appointed the new station manager from next month and will be moving to the province as well.
He will leave his job at 947 where he hosted the afternoon show for the past three years.
Tholi B will be responsible for talent, music, programming and brand management at Capricorn FM.
He told SunBuzz that he is looking forward to the opportunity to return to Limpopo, where he grew up, to manage an exciting station.
“I worked for two commercial radio stations in Joburg and enjoyed the thrill that comes with being on air. However, I have more to offer beyond the microphone.
“The MSG Group has shown confidence in me by tapping into my operational and business skills, something I had been yearning to focus on for some time,” he said.
“I look forward to contributing my knowledge.
“Capricorn has some of the most talented people in the industry, and my job is to inspire and lead them to greater heights.”
He will often travel to Joburg to shoot Dettol Game Show for SABC2.
The 34-year-old moved from Venda to Joburg in the early 1990s.
He matriculated at Florida Park High School before studying media.
His voice warmed the hearts of Mzansi’s youth when he joined YFM over a decade ago as the station’s presenter of the show En Route 6.
Since then he has hosted TV shows such as Ba Kae and Limitless Youth.
