“I DIDN’T know what I had until it was gone.”

These are the words of a regretful Mackson Tholo from Mabopane in Tshwane, who calls himself Tsekeleke.

On 11 January Daily Sun published a story that dancer and musician Dr Malinga allegedly owed Mackson R5 000 for dancing in his music video for hit song Akulaleki.

After the article headlined: “I want my money for dancing” was published, Mackson said his life has not been the same. He said he regrets accusing Dr Malinga of owing him.

“I haven’t seen him since last year and I doubt I will ever see him again.” He said Dr Malinga has always been good to him and he took advantage of that.

“He was the reason I saw myself on TV and he deserves all the best for that. He even gave me clothes to wear when I didn’t have.”

Mackson added his wish was for Dr Malinga to come to his house so that he could apologise to him personally.

However, Dr Malinga said he never took the allegations seriously because he knew he did nothing wrong.

“I have nothing to lose, so I will help him if he needs something,” said Malinga.
