FADED comedian, Pastor Mjosty, is in hot water with a Zion
pastor.
Mjosty is accused of failing to pay the money he owes Pastor
Jabulani Ntshangase of Enyonini Mission Church.
Pastor Ntshangase claimed the funnyman, whose real name is
Majostana Mbele, owes him more than R100 000 for shooting his movie and
performing at the annual Uvukile NoKhozi Gospel Festival in 2014. He also
labelled Mjosty a crook.
Pastor Ntshangase, who is based in Joburg but is originally from
KwaNongoma, in KZN north, said he’s now run out of patience and has also
threatened to take the matter to court.
Said the angry pastor: “He must understand that I’m a man. He
mustn’t be fooled by the collar on my neck. There’s a real man behind it.”
He said in 2008, he shot a DVD for Mjosty’s first Kwaito
Church Service movie.
“He promised to pay me when the DVD had been sold. I had to pay the
crew with money from my own pocket. I paid for transport as we travelled from
Joburg to KZN for the DVD. I did all this hoping Mjosty would pay me back my
money. I trusted him,” said Pastor Ntshangase.
He said after Mjosty played hide and seek, they finally reached a
settlement that he would book him and his Zion Choir to perform at the annual
Uvukile NoKhozi FM Gospel Festival.
He said they agreed he would perform every year and be paid R15 000
for each performance.
“We performed in 2014, but Mjosty didn’t pay again,” said
Ntshangase.
Mjosty rubbished the pastor’s allegations.
“I don’t know about shooting the movie. What I can confirm is he
performed at Uvukile and didn’t get paid as we had problems. I meant to pay him
this year, but we didn’t have sponsors,” Mjosty told the People’s Paper.
