CONTROVERSIAL Muvhango actress, Phindile
Gwala, has allegedly been given an ultimatum to either shape up or ship out of
the SABC2 soapie.
This after the actress, who plays Nonny, has been making news for
all the wrong reasons.
Sunday Sun has learnt Muvhango’s
executive producer, Duma ka Ndlovu, is said to be unhappy with Nonny’s behaviour
off set.
“Duma doesn’t like any negative reports about Muvhango or any of his actors. He once said it’s the soapie’s image
that gets dented in the end,” said an actress.
“And for the past two years, Nonny has dented the soapie’s image
more than any other actor.”
In the past, actor Melusi Yeni, who played Doctor Patrick, was
booted after a string of negative media reports.
A second source, who’s a cast member, claimed: “This girl is
tjatjarag. She’ll lose something over nothing. She’s forever partying and
sometimes comes to work tired.”
A third claimed said: “Whenever she walks on set, she likes to be
the centre of attention and has turned herself into a mobile weekend gig
guide.”
Recently, Sunday Sun reported that two diski stars
are said to be at war over Nonny. And last week it was reported she was nabbed
by Joburg Metro cops for allegedly driving under the influence.
Nonny was not available for comment.
Muvhango’s publicist Amanda Ngudle said: “It’s
untrue . . . first thing, she doesn’t drink and she doesn’t party.”
