SINGER and producer Malik is said to have hit the lowest note in his life.
Sunday Sun sources allege the Mthulise hitmaker is down and out.
Sources close to the star said the multi-talented musician has hit rock bottom. This after his music career at Ghetto Ruff took a nosedive.
The singer’s friends claimed things started to go sour when he lost his car.
One friend claimed the car was repossessed by his former boss, Lance Stehr.
“He’s now moved back to his parents’ house in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni. After Lance took his BMW 1 Series, Malik has been seen driving around in a Honda Ballade or catching taxis,” the source said.
Another friend said: “I wish Lance takes him back. Malik was never tjatjarag like other celebs.”
A third friend said: “Malik suffers what DJ Cleo and Zola went through with Lance. I hope he bounces back. He’s talented.”
Malik was best Afro-pop artist in 2010.
Asked for comment, Malik said: “I think you must contact whoever. I’m not sure that I moved back home.”
About his relationship with Lance, he said: “Lance and I are good and we’re arranging Kyellex’s funeral.”
Asked about his car, he said: “I think you’re speaking to the wrong Malik. Write whatever you want because you’re going to go ahead with the story regardless of what I’ve just told you. I don’t see the relevance of this story because we are arranging a funeral and you are writing about me..”
Lance said the claims are complete utter rubbish. “Why are we speaking about this on Kylex’s funeral? On what basis do we have a quarrel? The quarrel will start now as you’re writing a story. I know nothing about a BMW. I’m not fighting with him!”
