VUYOKAZI Tshaya sings about matters of the heart on her new album.

The gospel singer from Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, has released her second album called Uthando.

She told SunBuzz the album will uplift listeners who are feeling down and lonely.

Vuyokazi has featured legendary musician Tsepo Tshola on the song Ngizokuthanda.

She said working with Tsepo was a dream come true.

“He takes music very seriously and he took his time when we worked on Ngizokuthanda,” said Vuyokazi.

“I’m also grateful to my producer Lungile Maduna.

“He gave me his time and taught me to be myself when I’m in studio with him.”

Her love of music started when she was very young.

“Singing has always been my passion, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do from an early age,” said Vuyokazi, who released her debut album Thabatha in 2013.

“I come from a musical background, even though my family members prefer different genres.

“Even though I’m a gospel singer, I can also sing Afro pop and jazz.”

She plans to release music videos for some of the songs.

“I hope to release the videos in a few months’ time.

“I also plan to perform at malls and shopping centres to promote the album. This will help me to connect with my fans.”
