EARLIER this year rapper iFani called Cassper Nyovest’s single, Tito Mboweni, “trash”.
The song has since notched up 2,9 million views on Youtube and his album, Thuto, reached gold status on the day of its release.
iFani’s tweet reads: “Looking back now, I do apologise for all I said about Cassper.
“But I hope we’ve all learned and grown from it all, more life ahead of us.”
iFani told Daily Sun he is apologising to himself, everyone involved and Cassper.
“I am on the journey of learning, finding freedom and growing in life. The way to freedom is letting go of negative energy.”
However, he made it clear he is apologising for the bad energy and not his opinion.
“No publicity is bad publicity. Although it was unnecessary, something good came out of it. It helped push the song.”
He said he is apologising publicly because everything happened in the public eye.
“I was not seeking attention. Attention is the last thing I want at the moment.”
Cassper’s manager, Lerato Moiloa, said they had no comment.
“We did not say anything then, we won’t say anything now.”
