Busisiwe Twala, known by her stage name Cici, has pressed charges against Kwaito legend, Arthur Mafokate.

The Sunday World revealed over the weekend that the pair have both given statements to the police, not only discussing the allegations, but also confirming that they are indeed in a relationship.

In the statement, Cici is accusing Arthur of dragging her across the street with his car.

According to Cici, the drama began last week Thursday when Arthur received a phone call from an anonymous woman and he insisted on speaking to her outside.

When Cici became suspicious that he might be speaking to his nyatsi, she confronted him and things turned sour quickly.

She also claimed that Arthur refused to tell her who he was speaking to and why they had to speak in private.

Arthur then got into his car to run away from the drama, because, according to the statement, he didn’t want to be spoken to in such a manner in front of “children”.

Cici followed him and tried to open the car door, but Arthur drove off while she was holding onto the handle.

The Sunday World has also revealed that after Arthur was arrested, he then opened a counter case.

Spokesman Lungelo Dlamini confirmed to the publication that Arthur spent the night in jail in Midrand for assaulting his girlfriend.

Arther’s counter claims have been that Cici assaulted him with tables and chairs during the altercation.

The publication is also reporting that Arthur denied intentionally dragging Cici with his car, saying he was not aware that she was holding onto the door.

It also revealed that Cici was admitted to Waterfall Hospital in Midrand, where she continues to nurse her injuries.

Arthur has appeared in the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Friday for common assault and was released on R500 bail.
