DURBAN July is around the corner.

And some of the well-known Mzansi celebrities are excited and getting ready for the annual horse racing event.

DJ Tira, the legendary DJ and record producer whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, is preparing his Afrotainment marque. He held a photoshoot on Wednesday, 17 April, and invited the who's who in the game.

"We're letting the public know that we're back this year for another installment of the Afrotainment marque at the Durban July," DJ Tira said.

He said they have a lot in store for people.

"We have a few celebrities who'll be accompanying us to the event. We have my wife Gugu Khathi, Mawhoo, Zari the Boss lady, and Liema from Big Brother Mzansi. You'll know them when you see them because they're on TV."

He said he's looking forward to the event.

"I'm looking forward to the fashion that I'll be wearing this year. This shoot is setting the tone for what will be happening at the Durban July," he said.

"I'm not sure what I'll be wearing, but I know it’s going to be any colour between blue and sky-blue," Mawhoo said.

She said it'll be her second Durban July.

Former The River actor Vuyo Biyela said: "I'm looking forward to a lot of great music, meeting friends and industry friends. I want to have fun and, of course, fashion."
