A WOMAN is living in fear after thugs robbed her three times in three days.
The traumatised woman said the thugs first broke into a shack in her yard on Tuesday 3 May and stole several items, including a generator.
On Wednesday, they stole two big suitcases packed with clothes and other items from a second shack.
On the third day, they broke into her main house.
The 52-year-old woman from Everest squatter camp in Springs, Ekurhuleni, said the thugs found her sleeping and told her to cover herself with blankets while they ransacked her house.
She said the three thugs turned her house upside down.
“I was shaking under the blankets and praying hard that they wouldn’t kill or rape me,” she said.
“They were not in a hurry and were choosing which things to take and which to leave.”
The woman said they loaded their loot into a car outside, which she didn’t see, and drove off.
She said they took her jewellery, clothes, shoes, R1 000 in cash and her Nokia 3310 phone.
The woman, who is a domestic worker, said she lived alone and worked long hours.
Police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora said a case of house robbery was opened.
