The coronavirus pandemic has the whole world in a tailspin, and the number of infections continues to go up. Shared stories or experiences, in times like these, may serve as a form of encouragement or consolation for some. Local celebrities who have publicly shared their stories include estate guru TT Mbha and singer Brian Temba.

Moloi shared a video on her Facebook page on Monday, 6 July, with the caption:

”Stay home please… COVID-19 is a ruthless invisible monster”, and further continued to encourage people to be safe. She has since promised her fans to post more about her experience. “COVID-19 is real… it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through in my life”, said the distressed actress. She concluded in tears, “stay home, put on your masks…save other people’s lives and stay home if you’re not an essential worker”.
