She’s the queen of showing up fashionably late but once Ayanda Ncwane arrives, she becomes the belle of the ball.

While much emphasis is placed on her effortless and chic style, another attention grabber is her hair which we have seen in laid wigs, colour and in braids - among other styles.

The former Real Housewives of Durban star tells TRUELOVE all about her personal hair journey.

What is your hair philosophy?

Every hairstyle plays a role in the mood and mental state of a woman.

Looking back at your hair journey, which hairstyle would you say is your favourite and why?

I would say it’s my laid weave. It makes me feel sexy, transformed and I love the fact that I can just take it off when I go to bed.

What has been your worst experience?

I would say my worst hair experience was when I had platinum blonde hair. The colour chopped my hair off and I hated the process.

What do you think your current hairstyle says about you?

I have natural short hair now and it definitely screams new beginnings. I’m currently transitioning into a new chapter of my life in all aspects - business, mindset, goals, relationship status, body goals etc.

What do you enjoy most about getting your hair done?

The fresh feeling that says “go out and have drinks” and “don’t you dare go to bed with that cute fresh hairstyle!”.
