In another fashion breakup, Beyoncé and Adidas have reportedly decided to go their separate ways.

After viral collection drops, campaigns with rare cameos of the Knowles Carter kids, A-list celebrity and influencer content, and coveted items sold worldwide via Adidas - the road has come to an end for the two entities.

There are mixed reports about what led to this split. According to the Wall Street Journal, this is due to weak sales of the Ivy Park line.

WSJ reports that Ivy Park dropped by more than 50 percent in 2022 and underperformed Adidas’ internal projections - as a result, the contract between Beyoncé and sportwear giant is set to end after 2023.

Other reports note "creative differences" as the reason for the two parting ways.

Beyoncé bought back Ivy Park from Top Shop's parent company Arcadia Group amid sexual harassment and racism accusations by its then-CEO Phillip Green in 2018.

It was following this that the partnership with Adidas and Ivy Park took form.

This celebrity collaboration breakup is a second blow for Adidas after it controversially split with Ye, formerly Kanye West, in 2022.

But all is not lost for brand Beyoncé when it comes to fashion. The record-breaking Grammy Award winning artist recently launched a collection with luxury fashion house Balmain.

Inspired by her latest album, Renaissance, Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing and Beyoncé co-designed a couture collection.

Vogue reports, Olivier approached Beyoncé and her stylist, , with the idea and they collaborated on the 17-piece collection, each piece inspired by a certain track or often even a certain lyric from the award-winning album.

Renaissance found its way to Vogue France cover worn by none other the Queen Bey herself.

In an Instagram post photographed with Olivier, Beyoncé thanks the designer and Balmain "for bringing RENAISSANCE to life in couture". She adds: "Designing alongside you was freeing - thank you for allowing me to celebrate the human form, to take artistic risks, to push boundaries and to freely express myself."

This is not the first collab Beyoncé has had with Balmain. The French fashion house designed the looked for the historic Beychella - Beyoncé's Coachella show - in 2018.

For now, the world looks on curiously to find out what is the next step for Ivy Park.
