- Fashion designer and stylist Odirile Tlhoaele says wearing thigh high boots, crop tops and short hair are the top ways to look like a baddie.

As we enter the colder months, the thought of shelving your figure-baring crop top and replacing it with a turtleneck might seem daunting... but do you have to replace it?
Fashion stylist and designer, Odirile 'Odi' Tlhoaele, who is well known for styling some of South Africa's coolest celebs, says it is definitely possible to maintain baddie aesthetic all year round.
Odi first explains what a general baddie outfit entails - thigh high boots, crop tops, mini skirts and short hair.
Thigh high boots
"There's just something about a thigh high boot that just makes you look like a baddie. It just upscales the outfit to look more baddie," she says.
Besides being stylish, they are also convenient for ladies with smaller shoe sizes. Odi explains that she is a size two and it's challenging to find adult shoes in that size. So instead, she purchases an adult-size three thigh high boot and adds inner soles for them to be fit better. This is something that you cant do with courts or sandals.
Crop tops and mini skirts
Odi says, "The shorter, the better!"
She alludes that "Belly button showing" is currently the in-thing and she makes reference to musician Tyla as one of the people who consistently show off their enviable waistline.

Short hair
It's not just about the clothing, your hair can also make a baddie statement.
"Shorter hair makes your face stand out. Not a lot of people can rock short hair. So, if you are able to it shouts, 'oh, she's dangerous like that'," Odi explains.
Odi says it doesn't matter whether you colour, bleach or keep your natural hair colour. What's most important about having short hair is looking confident.
Short hair can also save you money because of its affordability as compared to longer weaves.
"Save your coins, stop investing in longer weaves and start investing in shorter wigs," said Odi.
She gave reference to Teyana Taylor as someone who always looks good in a short wig.

Moving into winter Odi says ,"You wear what you would wear in summer but then throw on like a cute jacket or a raincoat. It definitely can be maintained throughout the year, it's just [having to] accessorise it with the right elements so that [you're] obviously not freezing."
Gloves, balaclava masks, scarves and hats that are woven into your outfit are something to consider when temperatures are low.
To further stand out, you can add crafty details like safety pins to your outfit. Or you can place your accessories in unusual positions, such as attaching a necklace, chain, or earrings to your outfit.
"The accessories are now not going on to your body only, but they actually are going on to the outfit to make it stand out," Odi advises.
Odi concluded by encouraging fashion designers and enthusiasts to become more riskier and more original with what they wear or design.
"In fashion you are either going to set the trend or are you going to follow the trend?"
