Loafers are the in-thing for both formal and casual outfits and plenty of women have gotten themselves a pair.
From patent to suede, there's a variety of loafers women can choose from and some well-known luxury brands have continuously created stylish designs.
Historically known as a shoe predominantly worn by men for formal occasions, women have claimed loafers as part of their wardrobe. Besides being a stylish shoe, loafers are also a good substitute for high heels because they maintain the formal aesthetic but are much more comfortable.

Even though loafers are more popular in spring and summer, it is still possible to wear them in autumn and winter.
Fashion stylist Michelle Li explains to Vogue Magazine how loafers allow you to be warm and stylish. She says her ideal outfit is something like loafers with a sweater and track pants. She adds the sock is the accessory that really counts.
"It’s what connects the shoe with the rest of the outfit," she says.
