The River actress, Anele ‘Neythebae’ Zondo, has bagged a presenting gig on DSTV’s new Pan-African lifestyle channel, HONEY.
Anele, who has previously presented shows such as Massive Music and One Mic will be hosting The Next Big Trender – a reality competition series that will see five social media stars, from Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya and South Africa battle it out to become Africa’s hottest influencer by going all out to win over the show’s panel of judges and most importantly, their online followers and TV audiences.
Taking to Twitter, Anele expressed how excited she was to be hosting the show.
"It’s Myself as the MAIN HOST of a Pan African Channel that’s got me feeling all airy inside. I’m excited and can not wait!!," she wrote.
The contestants of the show will take on a number of challenges and interpret them in a way that appeals to their followers and viewers. The aim? To trend, lead and influence the social conversation. The most impressive influencers as scored by the judges proceed to subsequent rounds in a competition that runs over eight episodes.
