Veteran actor Vusi Kunene is once again leaving popular SABC 1 soapie Generations: The Legacy. This comes 5 years after he returned to the soapie after having been on Isibaya and Isidingo

Confirming the news to Times Live, Generations: The Legacy spokesperson Nandipha Pantsi said that Kunene is leaving the show “to pursue other ventures”.

For decades, Kunene has been known and celebrated for his villainous roles - from Jack Mabaso on Generations and Generations: The Legacy, to Jefferson Sibeko on Isidingo - among others. He is no doubt one of South Africa’s most loved veteran actors, and the absence of Jack Mabaso will be felt by avid viewers of the soapie.
