  • Palesa 'Pale' Motanyane says she's relieved to have left the Big Brother Mzansi house
  • She was already feeling overwhelmed on the second day of being at the Big Brother house.
  • Pale says some housemates were unhygienic and inconsiderate, leaving their underwear on the floor.
  • She looks forward to returning to her ordinary life.

Big Brother Mzansi fans says goodbye to 'full-time groovist' Palesa 'Pale' Motanyane following another round of evictions.

When she started navigating through the house, she realised that she might not make it.

"I think on the second day, I became very overwhelmed and I think I was probably just homesick already," Pale says, highlighting how she has been sticking it out for the past few weeks, waiting for the day she would leave the Big Brother house.

"Even when I got evicted, I was happy. I was like, 'yes'!" she adds.

This is uncommon in the Big Brother house because most housemates dream of winning but, for Pale, she had already made peace with not winning R2 million and couldn't wait to continue with her ordinary life.

While she has made peace with her exit, Pale is routing for Harriet 'Mpumi' Mthimunye and Takalani 'Taki' Muthige to win the grand prize. She says these are the two people she has grown fond of and would love to see them win.

Her friendship with Mpumi and Taki and her entire experience of meeting and living with new people taught her to step out of her comfort zone and allow strangers into her life. This is something that she finds challenging to do.

"I think when I went into the house, I went into the house as Palesa, you know, and people got to know Pale."

This required much courage because this meant that she would be allowing people to have an opinion about her life, from her fellow housemates to the hundreds of thousands of viewers watching their every move.

She says her experience from the Big Brother house also taught her how to coexist with different people who comprise of different personalities. "We all had a lot to teach each other."

Things were not always hunky-dory at the house though, there were times when Pale wished the housemates could take hygiene a bit more seriously. "Some of your faves would leave panties on the floor.

"I hated mothering people because I left my child at home, do you understand. So now I find myself [saying] 'guys, you can't leave your panties and your pads at the toilet!"

Pale also disliked how some housemates were controlling. "It's not your house. It's Big Brother's house, don't control us!"

Pale spilled the beans on how there will be trouble in paradise for many relationships in the house. She speaks on the fakeness of most romantic relationships at the house and that some housemates have planned to play and cross their romantic partners, "pretending to be in a ship when they are not."
