  • Neo and Fahimah are the two latest housemates to have been evicted from Big Brother Mzansi.
  • Neo described her experience as fun and character developing, whereas Fahimah says it was exhausting and challenging.
  • While they lost out on the R2 million prize, both the evictees would like to pursue careers in presenting.

Big Brother Mzansi said goodbye to two more housemates. Viewers cast their votes, seeing Neo Sibiya and Alfredoh 'Fahimah' Matsingwane being evicted.

Neo and Fahimah gave us the low down on their experiences being in this season of Big Brother Mzansi and hinted to some of their plans for the future.

"Fun, interesting and character developing", is how Neo describes being in the show. Because she continuously won some challenges, Neo enjoyed each game and believed that was the highlight of her time spent at the house.

"The highlight for me was winning. Like smashing the [Head of House] games, Friday night arena games - yeah just winning," says Neo as she boasted about bagging multiple wins.

Reflecting on her time in the house, she says, "I was very confident and I expressed that, and I showed that it's okay to be confident, it's okay to assertive, it's okay to speak your mind and be heard, it's okay to be yourself, no matter how old you are.”

Neo adds her confidence says it all and she's not afraid to let her bold, confident and courageous energy shine. "You can be yourself, you can take over the world actually like you have potential within yourself," she reaffirmed, stating her significance in contributing towards the confidence of other housemates.

Even though Neo is satisfied with how she manoeuvred her way in the house and would not have done anything differently, she wishes that she could improve her emotional intelligence.

"sometimes I just wanted to keep quiet but I couldn't because we had to speak to each other [when] working together and you know teamwork is not always easy and sometimes it requires a lot of maturity and patience and tolerance. So, yeah, I think that part I had to always speak to myself and be like 'Neo relax, it's fine you know. Keep quiet now, speak now. Finding the balance between when to I speak, when to I keep quiet."

Neo, Fahimah, McJunior Zondi and Takalani ‘Taki' Muthige identify each other as the Migos. The evicted Neo says she can't wait to see them once again and share valuable moments.

"Actually, we going for lunch, as soon as all of them are out," she says.

We might even see them all together at one of Neo's fitness sessions, because she intends to grow her social media platforms and generate more fitness content since she discovered that she has a personality for TV. She would like to pursue a career in sports presenting.

Fahima, on the other hand, shares a slightly different experience. She had her fair share of fun but found the house "exhausting" and "challenging" from time to time. Don't get her wrong though, she enjoyed spending time with her fellow housemates, participating in group activities and even performing songs that she composed.

She says, "I loved it because I got to perform an original song by me, so that was fun, really fun."

As for the exhausting and challenging part of her experience, Fahima says certain groups tended to portray "high school behaviour," with a lot of gossiping, fakeness and toxicity. "I could feel ukuthi nje ngizo hlanya!"

Fahima established a strong bond with Wilfred 'Willy' Thathane, who she described as her male bestie. McJunior takes first place in her entourage, though, along with Mfanele ‘Jareed’ and Sinaye Kotobe.

She says if she had to pick one friend who she would like to continue her journey with outside of the house, it would be McJunior.

Unlike Neo, Fahima says she knew how to keep her opinions to herself when it was necessary and believes that this kept her unproblematic. This is something that she thinks she has passed on to her housemates as well, and she hopes that they will continue to grasp her peaceful attitude even after she has left the house.

Unfortunately, there was a downside to her quietness, which she describes as being introverted, prohibited her from sharing her music more often, engaging in more group tasks, and getting to know people.

But, she believes that this is who she genuinely is and will continue on her path outside the Big Brother house.

"The plan for my future is definitely twerking all the time!" Fahimah declares, because she plans to be being more outgoing. She also has plans of securing more gigs and improving as a performing artist.

"Writing and recording music is just so therapeutic to me, it's a calling," she says.

She encourages fans to tune into her released tracks and music videos and she promises to drop more music soon. Apart from making music and securing more gigs, Fahima has many other plans like a bikini line, hitting the runway as a model, trying out radio and seeing if she would cope as anchor and presenter.
