Moshe Ndiki is bringing a change into the reality space.

The media personality went from fur babies to changing actual diapers in a short space of time.

He shares all of that with viewers on his new reality show, Life with Moshe on Mzansi Magic.

We’ll see him juggle being a new parent to twins, the journey of surrogacy, get a glimpse into his love life and more. Moshe says the show has been in the making for quite some time, quipping that Covid-19 almost hindered all this as he thought he would die.

“The show itself came about, I think it was two or [three] years ago, [but what derailed me] was Covid. Hence, I even took a break from even the actual process of surrogacy because it was that thing of, ‘am I even going to be alive? I'm bringing kids to earth but I'm going to leave them’. And then when I started the process, I was like, ‘okay, a whole lot of people don't know much about the process of surrogacy, especially in South Africa'," he says.

Moshe joins many Mzansi’s celebrities with reality shows, the likes of DJ Zinhle, Thando Thabethe, Bonang Matheba and more.

He tells us that viewers should expect to take away, “a whole lot of information, not only for queer couples but, essentially, what people are going to see from the show is a celebration of Black [love], romantic love, love of family.”

Though not his first rodeo in front of the camera, he says this time around was a bit different from the usual setting and he was more concerned about his family’s comfortability.

“I'm used to cameras because of my work [but] I was never ready having them in my place all the time and even when we're having vulnerable conversations, it's so just crazy but I think more so for my family because for now they've never been on tv.”

Life with Moshe explores the challenges of surrogacy while educating people on the process and he says research also helped him before going ahead with it.

“I wouldn't say there were a lot of challenges because I did do my research because you need to do a lot of research but the funny thing is, as much as you can do your research, when [the time comes] it's something totally different from what you've researched.,”

Adding that, “And the detaching with the surrogate mother, that's something we knew was due to happen but it doesn't make it any easier when they need to detach and I need to take the kids away from her. But there's a whole lot of emotional challenges that came with the process.”

He shares that fatherhood has been a joy for him because it’s been his longest dream. He says fatherhood came so naturally for him, this comes after he announced in 2023 that he’ll father twins.

“Everything just came so naturally because [I’ve always wanted to be a parent], I think timing is everything it happened at a time in my life where I feel like I am ready for kids, I was ready for the sleepless nights [and] changing of the nappies, I was so ready and also having my mom around to help and my partner, his also been involved with the kids.

He gushes over his boyfriend, who he says they met during the process of surrogacy.

“We started dating once my surrogate was pregnant, so we met the kids at the same time because he was around for the birth. He's someone that's very involved and taken on the role of fatherhood with me exceptionally well,” he says.

The media personality has worked on an array of shows, the likes of You Promise to Marry Me on Moja love, Last Chance at Love, Mntase and debuted as an actor on Gomora.

As he is juggling parenthood, love life and to mention a few, Moshe is still growing his empire.

“A whole lot of work, certainly behind the scenes, at least I’ve got a test of what is like to be an executive producer because I am an executive producer of my show. So, you can expect a whole lot of work that's going to be on screen but I’m going to be behind the scenes,” he says.
