Who doesn’t love a good cooking competition?

TV presenter and media personality Moshe Ndiki is back on South Africa’s screens as the host of Ready Steady Cook South Africa, the country’s very own rendition of the British game show of the same name.

Top Mzansi chefs and home cooks will battle it out and prepare a tantalising meal out of a mystery bag of ingredients in a 20-minute cook-off.

Moshe has been a familiar face in the world of entertainment with hosting gigs on shows like 7 Colours with Lilian Dube and his own reality television series Life with Moshe, documenting the birth of his twin babies.

He will now add in a mix of humour, flair and fabulosity to S3’s Ready Steady Cook South Africa, airing Monday to Friday from 18 March 2024 at 19:00.

The 35-year-old TV presenter is no stranger to bringing is five star personality to the small screen.

After the success of 7 Colours, where he and Lilian Dube went into the heart of South African homes to see friends and families flex their cooking skills and show off Mzansi’s quintessential Sunday meal and his very own reality show documenting his journey bringing his twins into the world, there's much to look forward to from the TV presenter.

In a previous interview with TRUELOVE talking about Life with Moshe, he explained, “I'm used to cameras because of my work [but] I was never ready having them in my place all the time and even when we're having vulnerable conversations, it's so just crazy but I think more so for my family because for now they've never been on TV.”

Celebrity chefs like Wandile Mabaso, Neo Nontso, Fehmida Osman-Latib, Kamini Pather, Kelly Njokweni, Liziwe Matloha, Lorna Maseko, Lufuno Sinthumule, Mmule Setati and Nthi Ramaboa will show off their culinary prowess battling against each other with home cooks in their teams.

TV and radio personality Anele Mdoda brought Ready Steady Cook South Africa to Mzansi’s shores through her production company Rose and Oaks Media in collaboration with Primedia Studios – the combo which was also responsible for The Masked Singer South Africa.

“We’re thrilled to have Moshe as the on-screen coordinator of all the magic and madness cooked up by the two competing teams on Ready Steady Cook South Africa,” Anele says.

“From his call centre days creating content that made the entire country laugh from their bellies to his food trucks that spoke directly to our bellies, Moshe is the perfect balance of sugar, salt, flavour and heat… funny enough, everything you need to make a stellar dish.”
