Another one bites the dust after the second live eviction show of Big Brother Mzansi Season 4 in a wrap of a dramatic second week with the eviction show that sent home Siphosethu ‘Sammy M’ Mxunyelwa.

The 22-year-old goldsmith said goodbye to the remaining housemates and her chance at winning the R2 million grand prize after two weeks of showing off her talents, standing her ground and teasing Mzansi with her budding romance with her “kissing partner” Wilfred ‘Willy’ Thathane.

Sammy’s journey in the house saw her forming wholesome friendships with housemates like Zee and keeping viewers hooked with her fun-loving attitude earned her a considerable fanbase during her two weeks in the house.

While this was not enough for viewers to keep her from the unforgiving eviction show, Sammy shares with TRUELOVE some of the best and most difficult parts of her time in the house.

“[The] challenging part was living with 22 people, that was very challenging for me because I’m a loner, I’m always alone. Another part was actually connecting with people. That was hectic for me, that was really hard but I tried yabo.

“[The] best parts were the parties! Yoh, you know mina I was dancing, whether there’s alcohol or not, I will dance. I will get down. I know I can’t [dance well] but I’ll do it. Other best parts [were] just entering the house. Just yoh, ungena pha, Big Brother’s voice – him saying ‘Sammy M’, ah!”

While many viewers noticed a clash of sorts between her and fellow housemate Yolandi Monyai, Sammy’s overall friendly attitude earned her decent friendships, not to mention a little crush.

In her live interview with Big Brother Mzansi host Lawrence Maleka, Sammy shed light on the nature of her relationship with Willy and described him as a crush that turned into a kissing buddy. She let the crowd in on where her mind was in the house, saying she did not want to wear her heart on her sleeve and reveal her feelings for him.

“I got close with Neo but – no, I got close with quite a few [housemates like] Meelay, Makhekhe definitely. Willy, I don’t know,” she laments to us.

Although Sammy’s positive and party-going personality won viewers over, she believes she could have shared more of herself and her energy during her short time in the house.

“My energy was very low in that house … There’s me that they didn’t get to experience, do you get me? And it’s all my fault! I don’t know why I keep beating myself up for this because I know that I could’ve done more, I could’ve given them uSammy M.

“Even before I got to the show, people were like, ‘Yoh, you should go to the show’, because they know the kind of person I am. Got to the show, yoh and I just read that ukuthi I was judgemental. Also, I try not to be judgemental, whatever I thought I just kept it to myself,” she explains.

While there may have been some moments she feels she could have injected more of herself and her personality, it’s clear her positive nature will be remembered.

Excitedly sharing her most memorable moments in the Big Brother house, Sammy says, “The first night where we sat there getting to know each other, the first party, the first wager – even though we lost it! … This one time we ate beans and rice yoh guys I was crying inside but like sizothini?”
