Close family, friends and industry colleagues came together for the headstone unveiling of the late famed television producer Aaron Arthur ‘Shona’ Ferguson.

With the attendees dressed in all white, The Queen actress Connie Ferguson and her family entrusted well-known events management company, Nono Events, to stage the grand unveiling.

Connie writes to Nono Events, "Thank you for always going above and beyond! Always exceeding expectation! You executed beautifully Nono and team, and my family and I are so grateful! So befitting SHO. Forever our KING".

Shona passed away on 30 July 2021 at the age of 47 from Covid-19-related complications after being hospitalised a few weeks prior for several medical procedures.

Nearly three years on, a bronze statue in Shona’s likeness was unveiled to celebrate the late actor. Candles and portraits of Shona and his loved ones surrounded the area with remembrance of what the actor contributed to the film and entertainment industry.

Among the guests were Sophie Ndaba, Vuyo Ngcukana, Tumi Linx as well as musicians Relebogile Ragimana and Teboho Moloi.

Connie shared a word or two about her late husband, alongside some of the other guests that were present at the unveiling.
