  • Chuenzaaa, Meelay, Mich and Taki are no longer part of the Big Brother house.
  • This is the first time Big Brother Mzansi experiences four evictions in one week.
  • Taki and Chuenzaaa share some of their experiences and plans for the future.

A painful Sunday service for the Big Brother house as they said their goodbyes to four housemates.

After escaping evictions the previous week, Big Brother made a harsh comeback with an unusual eviction. It was a first for the Big Brother house to see four housemates evicted in one week.

Chuene ‘Chuenzaaa’ Kapu, Lindokuhle ‘Meelay’ Nsele, Mischack ‘Mich’ Mazibuko and Takalani ‘Taki’ Muthige are no longer in the R2 000 000 rat race and they make their way out of the Big Brother house.

We got some insight from Taki and Chuenzaaa’s experience of the house and some of their plans for the future.

Taki explains his entire experience at the Big Brother house was joyful. He made new friendships and had fun time playing the head of house games. “It’s a huge, huge blessing!” he says.

Taki’s small squad that consisted of Sinaye, McJunior, Pale and Neo helped him through his Big Brother journey because there were moments when he wished he could push the voluntary exit button. They kept him grounded and focused and made him realise that he is not going through this journey alone.

With Sinaye resembling his younger brother, Pale resembling an elder sister and mother, McJunior being his first friend from the house and Neo being his lover, Taki maneuvered his way through the Big Brother house with his close friends.

Her plans to pursue his acting, presenting, MCing and content creating career and he feels like his time spent at the Big Brother house gave him the needed experience. He is also intending to enter the tech industry to make a better living and secure his future.

He recalls these words of motivation, “You are stronger than you think you are, you are more capable then you think you are. There’s not one way to be Black, to be white, to be Coloured, to be Asian, to be a man, to be a woman, to be gay, to be straight, to be human. There’s not one way to do this life thing. Find what works for you. Find what aligns for you and when people don’t like that because its different, ignore them.”

Similar to Taki, Chuenzaaa also says time spent with friends became the most memorable moments of the house. From the team activities to the Saturday night parties and gifts, Chuenzaaa really enjoyed his time with his fellow housemates - to be more specific, Yolanda, Zee and Mich.

However, there were challenging moments for Chuenzaaa.

“People that will take my kindness for weakness,” irritated Chuenzaaa and made him stay at the house difficult. In addition to that, he did not enjoy it when his friends were in conflict and had to be stuck in the middle.

In these situations where he felt overwhelmed, he used sleep as a stress reliever and that also allowed him to spend time alone and think.

Chuenzaaa is not done with the spotlight because he would like to grow in the media space and become a renowned TV and radio presenter and influencer. “One of the best TV and radio personality in this generation,” he concludes.
