Scandal! is celebrating 20 years on air and we managed to score an exclusive invite to mingle with the cast at Sasani Studios in Balfour Park, north of Joburg.
Not only is the show celebrating two decades of unstoppable action, it's also become the second-most watched soapie in South Africa, dethroning Generations: The Legacy that has held this position for many years.
TRUELOVE sat down with Mapaseka Koetle, who has been with the show for nine years, who tells us: "Being with the show for as long as I have is so surreal for me because many of my former colleagues have left and I'm still here," she says, adding that she'll be with the show for as long "I'm needed".

Playing the character Dintle for the past nine years has taught her that she and the beloved onscreen character share some striking similarities, such as being unable to find love.
"She and I share similarities because we are CEOs and I'm also [one] for my company. We are also both unlucky in love," she chuckles. "But, I'll be fine in the love department."
Mapaseka adds that her longevity on the show has had to do with the fact that the show's writers have been versatile in writing for Dintle, something she appreciates.
"I must thank the writers, it's because of them that I'm still here and the way the write for my character is amazing and it helps me grow as an actress," the actress explains.
She also notes the immense support she's received from the show's ardent viewers over the years.
"The viewers have made me the person I am today and it's because of their support that I've come this far," she concludes.
