As the warm weather approaches, many will begin to show a bit more skin.
Recovering from the winter dryness, here are five quick fixes to solve pesky skincare issues yourself.
1. Dry hands
Are your hands chapped, peeling and dry from the harsh winter and using sanitisers? Pamper your palms with a luxurious hand mask, and apply a soothing hand cream for a silky-smooth feel.
DIY: Rub coconut oil into your hands and cuticles. Wrap each hand in a small towel, allow the oil to penetrate for at least five minutes, and then follow with a hand cream.
2. A roughneck
We tend to neglect our necks. So, remember to moisturise it, too. Massage it with an oil or serum, in upward strokes, to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay.
DIY: After your shower, massage lukewarm olive oil on your face, neck and chest for a few minutes. Massage in circular motions to help the oil penetrate your skin. Olive oil contains vitamin E and A.

3. Sun burn
Make sure that your melanin is protected from sun damage by daily applying sunscreen. Do this after your skin routine, even when you’re indoors.
DIY: Mix one tablespoon of turmeric and honey. Apply to your face, allowing it to sit for five minutes. Turmeric and honey are the perfect soothers for inflamed and sun-damaged skin.

4. Dry skin
Reveal smooth, polished skin in your summer tops and dresses – make time to exfoliate and polish your shoulders and back. Hydrate your skin with a body cream that contains essential hydrating ingredients like vitamin C and shea butter.
DIY: Oats is a great natural exfoliator. Mix it with honey and use once a week to gently scrape dead skin cells away. You’ll love the smoother and brighter skin that is revealed.
