The star chatted with Anele on Real Talk with Anele about her past and future plans.
The TV personality was on the couch with Anele recently and revealed everything about her relationship with ex-husband Mandla Mthembu.
She says they met at a club and he immediately told her he’d marry her. Six months later while checking out of a hotel, Khanyi didn’t have transport to the airport and Mandla offered his Porsche. They started soon after.
“I thought he was joking. He said: ‘I remember you, and I’m still going to marry you,'” and asked for her number. At the time, she said she was not aware that he was loaded.”
She also mentioned how theirs wasn’t a real marriage and he more of a father-figure to her. Khanyi mentions also how they never had real conversations. “It was just (about) money. I realised I was worshipping him, not loving him. There was no heart-to-heart conversation, apart from discussing having a baby.”
The two have a daughter together. “A man with money with get you everything but you will pay for it.”
