What's the story?
The Showdown Series is back! The event took place during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and proved to be a fun promo for the FUT community.
As mentioned by EA Sports' website, the Showdown Series brings that every-match-counts mentality to FUT.

FUT Showdown Series
The Showdown Series event raises the stakes on the highly anticipated fixtures in world football with derby-themed re-releases and daily Showdown Player Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).
The first two Showdown SBCs that were unveiled were Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos and Atletico Madrid's Nahuel Molina for last week's Madrid Derby which ended 1-1.
That was followed by Marseille's Sead Kolasinac and PSG's Carlos Soler for the Le Classique derby between the bitter Ligue 1 rivals, that matched ended 3-0 to the league leaders.
The Turin derby between Juventus and Torino sees Manuel Locatelli and Antonio Sanabria going at it and for the Bundesliga, Jeremy Bynoe Gittens for Borussia Dortmund up against RB Liepzig's Benjamin Henrichs.
Gamers can enjoy a week of elite matchups with daily Showdown SBCs that will turn real-life results into rewards for their Ultimate Teams.

Each Showdown player item that's picked receives a base upgrade and player items from winning teams receiving an additional +2 upgrade, with player items that draw each receiving a +1 upgrade after their matches conclude.
With Manchester City set to take on Premier League surprise packages Newcastle United this weekend, the ever-reliable FUT leaker @FutSheriff has revealed the Showdown SBCs for that game:
