Steve Komphela has left his post with Mamelodi Sundowns to become the new head coach of Swallows FC.

The Soweto-based outfit confirmed that Musa Nyatama and Ditheko Mototo will be Komphela's assistant coaches at the Dube Birds, with Nyatama's willingness to work and learn under Komphela being appreciated by the club.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs mentor will meet the Swallows family on Tuesday, 4 July, to get most likely started with next seasons preparations.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "BREAKING: Swallows Announce New Head Coach" story:

"It was just matter of time, Steve is head coach material," says Shikabala.

"I like this appointment, I wish him well and hope he stays to prove his worth once more," says Charles Manyike.

"Steve tasted what it is like to win a trophy. Well done, Sundowns, individuals like Modise and Steve can attest to how Champions are made at Mamelodi," says makhause(2).

"If bucs won two trophies with a newly appointed coach from elsewhere, in the presence of Sundowns, what could prevent Swallows in doing that?" says winterv.me.

"Swallows did what Chiefs couldn't do, get a quality coach. Komphela will be tested though since Swallows is poorly run and have no resources," says Eduardo Dos Santos.

"I know for a fact that Swallows will be organised defensively, meaning I don't see them in the relegation fight next season. Good step Maswaiswai," says Bucs365.

"Swallows will still be trophyles," says BrutuswamaJuju.

"Well done SK and Swallows FC," says kpmadi67.

"Unlike Manqoba. Manqoba is scared to be the head coach. He’s comfortable in being under the shadow of others," says psputuka.

Amakhosi legend Reneilwe Letsholonyane revealed that he was surprised by Chiefs' appointment of Molefi Ntseki as their new head coach.

The AmaZulu youth coach feels that the Soweto giants decided what’s in the best interest of the club and that it's up to Ntseki to prove pessimists wrong.

Yeye also revealed what worked for Chiefs' trophy-winning teams in the past, saying that having a mix of young and old players as well as team-building exercises helped them in their cause.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Yeye: How Ntseki Must Prove Critics Wrong" story:

"It seems as if people are not aware that Kaizer Chiefs is known as a big club in SA. All these things that are done by management are just not what big teams around the world do. Average players and average coaches will never win trophies," says sbusisogumede16.

"It all up to the coach and his players now. If the coach and the players understand each other and speak one language, they can do anything to make fans happy.

"As fans we must give the guys all the support they need," says mlekeleli.

"The legend has spoken, danko Yeye, KHOSI 4 LIFE!!" says user827808.

"Yeye had a quality team to play with, that is the problem right now. The quality is not there but these players are trying their best in every game. I feel for them because we know that one cannot milk a stone.

"It is never a coaching issue at Chiefs just the same thing with Bafana, they are inferior compared to the competition. Management had to solve that problem instead of shuffling around the coaching team," says khothakhosi.

"Can’t agree with you more. The current players are not Chiefs material and they have tried their level best to punch above their weight but they have reached their ceiling.

"Management needs to hire scouts to look for quality players all over the continent and outside, not this thing of relying on agents and what’s trending," responds sizweking to the comment above.

"I am a Jomo Cosmos fan with a soft spot for Bucs, I can't agree more... If I am correct, I remember the last time you guys invested in Mphela, Masilela, Gaxa, Mashamaite, Nahayo etc. The team was unstoppable, however at the moment, there is no difference between the Khosi squad and that of Stellies," says Vha Musanda Cosmos na Bucs.
