Kaizer Chiefs are looking at boosting their goalkeeping department but they could lose one of their targets when the January transfer window opens, the Siya crew has been informed.
Soccer Laduma had previously linked Nigerian keeper Stanley Nwabili to Amakhosi, and the stopper is currently impressing for PSL club Chippa United.

Siya sources have now indicated that Nwabili could be a wanted man by a European club, so Chiefs now have new competition to bolster their goalkeeping department.
The club Nwabili is linked to is Belgian side Royal Union SG (Saint Gilloise), which was Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau's former team. However, one of the challenges to any transfer will be Chippa's FIFA transfer ban.
"For now, it is just interest as there has been nothing official yet but there are representatives who have shown interest in the goalkeeper and the team will be waiting to hear from their counterparts in Belgium," said the Siya source.
"It's not strange that such a good goalkeeper attracts interest even from Europe. Yes, it's true Kaizer Chiefs were the first ones to show interest but at this point the FIFA ban on the club could disturb any possible move.
"So let's wait and see what will happen on all fronts but the interest from Belgium is there," the source observed.
A second Siya source stated that the player, who is expected to be part of the Nigeria squad at AFCON in Ivory Coast in January, probably won't be long at Chippa United due to being in the shop window on Africa's biggest stage.
"You know if you have interest from Kaizer Chiefs then from Union SG from Belgium, then you know that his future is elsewhere and at the moment it will all depend on Chippa United and the situation with the FIFA ban. Again, I don't think Chippa would let such a good goalkeeper just leave like that though we know football is a business and anything is possible," said the Siya source.
"Let's wait after AFCON in January and see what will happen. You may find there will be even more interest from other clubs as well. But for now, it's those two. One local and one European."
When contacted for comment, Chippa United team manager Wanda Mbenguzana could neither deny nor confirm the interest from Union SG.
"I have no idea. (Stanley) has been performing well so interest will always be there. Not as if I know. You can check with Lukhanyo (Mzinzi)," Mbenguzana observed.
When contacted for comment there was no response from executive director Lukhanyo Mzinzi while this story was prepared.
