The Siya crew has been reliably informed that former Baroka FC striker Santino Smith is set for a European assessment in the last few days of the transfer window. The player was amongst a number of those that parted ways with Bakgaga following their failure to gain promotion to the DStv Premiership at the end of last season.

With his stock continuing to rise, there has been talk of local interest in the lanky marksman, but indications are that the Newclare native will make his way to Europe this month, where he will undergo a trial with Russian giants Dynamo Moscow.

According to Siya sources, Smith is not the only striker set to undergo assessments at the 11-time Russian Premier League champions, with Nigerian Chibuike Odogwu Charles believed to be another player that will be training under the watchful eye of head coach Marcel Licka.
