Local reports have suggested that Cele and Chiefs have reached an agreement on a deal that would see the 25-year-old make a switch to Amakhosi as their eighth signing of the current transfer window.
However, Polish website Weszlo.com have insisted that the Glamour Boys have not made an official offer for the KZN Academy graduate, who still has a year left to run on his current contract.
Rather, the website suggests that Chiefs are hoping the midfielder terminates his contract so he could sign as a free agent, with the club not having to pay a transfer fee.
The website maintains that the player could snub Chiefs again, having done so when they chased his signature last season, with his first priority understood to be to remain in Europe.
The club are open to selling Cele, if Chiefs pay a transfer fee, although it is unclear what the asking figure is for the star.
A decision will have to be made soon however, as the player was left out of Radomiak’s matchday squad against Lech Poznan, and is expected to miss the match against Cracovia.
