Orlando Pirates could be gunning for a player who was on Kaizer Chiefs' radar since last year, the Siya crew understands.

However, the transfer didn't transpire yet and Siya sources have indicated that Pirates could have now inquired about the Nyasa Big Bullets forward. The sources close to the player and Pirates have added that talks could soon open between Bullets and Bucs. The potential move is for the January transfer window or the new season.
"First it was Kaizer Chiefs who were interested in him and now another South African team, Orlando Pirates have inquired about him. He did very well during the COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa and he has continued with that form even at home in Malawi and I think that's what has made Pirates look into him," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source stated that the 21-year-old could be in South Africa earlier than expected because it's currently the off season in Malawi.
"It is not clear but he would be travelling to South Africa soon. I am not sure whether it's during the Afcon break or after but it seems it will be during the Malawi Super League break.
"I can't say it's a done deal yet but it's 50/50 at the moment. Anything can happen because he is a good player and he is in demand right now," the source added.
In the just-ended season in Malawi, Nkhoma was in amazing form in all competitions for Nyasa Big Bullets and helped them win four trophies in the process including the league title.
He was the first Malawian player to score in all the three cup finals which the team had played in and won each of them.
When contacted for comment Nyasa Big Bullets CEO Suzgo Nyirenda could neither deny nor confirm the interest from Pirates at the moment.
"No official interest has been registered for the player at the moment," Nyirenda said.
Pirates didn't respond when Soccer Laduma contacted the club to comment on this story.
