Kenyan born Mamelodi Sundowns defender Brian Onyango is still with the squad despite his contract ending on the 30th of June as he waits to hear about his future in South Africa.
As previously reported by the Siya Crew, Sundowns were expected to give their defender a new deal at the club.

Now Siya sources have indicated that the two parties are still negotiating for a new deal and the club can potentially table a two-year option for Onyango.
This is why the Kenyan is still with the team in pre-season training and camp in Rustenburg.
The source added that at the moment it's not clear whether they will just trigger the two-year option or give him a new deal altogether.
"Brian is in camp with the team. You know technically he is still a Sundowns player as they can exercise the option at any time. You know with the option the team has the advantage over the player and that's why they are relaxed," said the Siya source.
"He could not still be with the team if they didn't need him. I think they still need him though as a player he is not quite sure of his future.
"But if they are not telling you to leave then there is hope. So, for now I think the team is just buying time but they still need him.
"If you look at the central defenders we have, he still has space to play or provide back up in times of injuries and suspensions. So, it's really not yet over for him," the source told the Siya crew.
The 28-year-old can be registered as a local player in South Africa and joined the Brazilians in 2020 from Maritzburg United on an initial three-year deal. He has been capped 35 times by his national team Harambee Stars, scoring three goals in the process.
The Siya crew attempted to contact Sundowns for a comment but efforts were unsuccessful at the time of preparing this story.
