According to information reaching the Siya crew, Polokwane City are eyeing the end of December to have their FIFA transfer ban lifted. Rise and Shine were slapped with the sanction recently on the back of their ongoing dispute with Malawian international Khuda Mabuya, whose contract was mutually terminated in March due to unpaid salaries.

The striker then went straight to Zurich to file a complaint – and won, forcing the world football governing body to stop City from registering any players with immediate effect until payment is made. Soccer Laduma now understands the side from Limpopo are hellbent on dealing with this matter as soon as possible ahead of the January transfer window.

The Limpopo-based outfit are battling to stop their winless run of six matches under interim coach Phuti Mohafe and have also roped in Brice Aka to share the responsibility since Lehlohonolo Seema quit and joined Sekhukhune United.
