The Siya crew has been led to believe that Kaizer Chiefs are open to keeping one of their experienced defenders beyond the end of this season.
While the matter of a new coach is not near being finalised, it's understood that one of the key players in the team has a good chance of earning a new contract when the current campaign comes to an end.

Edmilson Dove's current deal with the Soweto giants is set to expire at the end of the season and he will soon be entering the final six months of his contract with Amakhosi. While talks over a new deal are believed to not have been opened, there is a good chance that the club will keep him on board as one of the experienced campaigners.
The Mozambican joined Amakhosi last season while Arthur Zwane was head coach and played in a left-sided central defensive role, alongside Zitha Kwinika or the now departed Siyabonga Ngezana.
Things have changed for Dove this season, as he is playing at left back, where he is competing with Sifiso Hlanti and Happy Mashiane, who could be heading out of the club either in January or at the end of the season.

Cavin Johnson is understood to be a keen admirer of Dove, for his hard work and determination that he shows on the pitch. This could be key in Dove securing a new deal come the end of the campaign.
Hlanti is another player who will see his contract at Naturena coming to an end in June next year.
