The Siya crew has it on good authority that Kaizer Chiefs could renew their interest in current AS FAR head coach Nasreddine Nabi for a second time.

According to Siya sources, Chiefs who are without a coach following the sacking of head coach Molefi Ntseki, are looking for a permanent replacement having deployed Cavin Johnson as interim coach.

While there were denials all round about Chiefs’ approach for Nabi prior to Ntseki’s appointment, the crew understands that the coach’s name is one that has once again made its way onto the possible candidates for the vacant Chiefs hot seat.

Siya sources reported that Chiefs were keen on bringing the former Young Africans head coach as a replacement for Arthur Zwane last season, but talks between the two parties broke down, which saw the Glamour Boys turn to Ntseki.

Information made available to the Siya crew is that the 58-year-old has a contract with AS FAR that runs until 2025 and Chiefs will likely have to negotiate a transfer fee with the Moroccan giants if they are to land his services.
