Following a bit of a shopping spree in January to strengthen coach Pablo Franco Martin’s team, news coming out of AmaZulu FC is that the club hierarchy is freezing contract talks until the end of the season.
Usuthu signed left back Sifiso Ngobeni on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns as well as striker Augustine Mulenga from Chippa United in what proved to be a tough transfer market for new sporting director Pedro Dias.
As soon as the window was closed, the idea was that the KwaZulu-Natal outfit would then turn their attention to holding on to what they have with several key players out of contract in June – among them Riaan Hanamub, Ben Motshwari and Ramahlwe Mphahlele, to name a few.
