Now, with the club having suffered relegation, players are keen on receiving their outstanding salaries which is due to them; however, they have not received word from the club's chairman, Abram Sello the crew understands.

In addition to the outstanding salaries, the players are yet to receive bonuses stemming from their CAF semi-final berth, which saw the club pocket in the region of R16.1 million in prize money.

The crew has been informed that players, many of whom have since found new clubs, intend on taking the legal route if their salaries are not paid.

The Siya crew reached out to Gallants' communications manager Rufus Matsena, who denied any knowledge of outstanding payments towards players.

"There is no such," he told the Siya crew. "It is the first time I have heard of the issue of salaries, but I can assure you that it is not true," he continued.

With regards to the outstanding CAF bonuses, Matsena said that the club have been in contact with the players regarding their payments; however they are still waiting to be paid by CAF.

"You cannot pay somebody what you don't have. CAF must first pay, then we can pay them," he said.
