The house has been occupied by the current Malawi national team interim head coach, Mabedi and was left in the care of his daughter during the period. The incident took place when Mabedi's daughter went to visit Malawi.
The former Amakhosi star has told Soccer Laduma that he is appealing to the general public to help the police and law enforcers to find the criminals and recover his special items.
"I am not fine. When my daughter was here in Malawi and her friend left the house, then people broke into my house (in Johannesburg) and stole household things including my trophies and medals that I had won as a player," Mabedi told Soccer Laduma.
"So, if anyone saw someone selling trophies they must report it to the nearest police station.
"You know these are our treasured memories as players or athletes. It's really sad that people can just break in and steal your valued items like that.

"So, please help me spread the message and help me recover these things. I appeal to everyone who come across the Absa Premiership trophies and medals to report that to the police.
"I will really appreciate that and any help I can get to have my trophies and medals back," an emotional Mabedi told the Siya crew.
